Updates from Pastor Daniel Norris – #TogetherAgain Updates

7-22-20 Update

Hello Grace World!

I want to take a few moments to share something very important. I need to ask your help with something so we don’t have to change anything at the church. I know that over the last few weeks we have done many updates and have reiterated where we have been at. I want us to do two things: I want us to take this moment serious in remaining community conscience and respond with an attitude and heart of love in everything that we do.

Jesus reminds us in John 13:34-35, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

We are in a time and season where there is so much fear and frustration in the world around us. We are watching it affect brothers and sisters within the body of Christ whether it is becoming judgmental, being harsh or feeling isolated and depressed. What is missing is the love of Christ! When people look towards the church, they need to see the love of Christ. I am proud to say that is the number one thing I hear about Grace World – that we are a loving church. It is important that our church feels, sees and senses that love one for another.

When it comes to wearing or not wearing a mask, let’s not let it become divisive. There are people that choose to wear them and receive looks and judgmental comments saying that does no good. Then there are others who choose not to wear a mask and also receive judgmental comments that they don’t care about people. Neither of which show love. We must respond with an attitude of love understanding that the world around us functions out of fear and frustration. This is not how we should react, but respond with and in love. If we can do this as a church, we will be a church that our community desperately needs.

Grace, you have continued to be community conscience and personally responsible, and because of that our church has remained healthy. Thank you for showing honor to one another by being socially distant, wearing a mask when you can’t maintain six feet of distance, checking your temperature and if you are showing any signs or symptoms that you stay home. Numbers continue to climb in Hernando County. We do not live in fear but recognize this virus \ to be very real. Covid-19 has touched families within our church body, friends across the US and even my own parents (who are on day 16 and recovering). Please don’t let down your guard! Continue to honor one another and our community.

On Monday, I woke up at 4:00am morning and the Lord began speaking to me. I saw in my mind’s eye, by the spirit, bringing together our pastors, elders and intercessors praying over and anointing cloths and sending them out to those in our congregation who have been dealing with  Covid-19. During our Tuesday prayer service, that is what we did. We anointed and prayed over about 100 cloths. We will be sending them out to people in our church body who have been dealing with Covid-19. If you or someone you are directly connected to would like one, we want to send one to you. Please contact Pastors David and Debbie Looper in our Pastoral Care Department at the church. I believe that the prayer of faith heals the sick! There is power in prayer!

As we close, let me just remind you of what I have asked. Continue to take this moment seriously and practice being community conscience for you, your family and our community. Lead by example.

Lastly, as a house lets make sure that this community experiences the love of Christ through this church in everything we say and do.

Jenna and I love you dearly and are praying for you! If you have any prayer requests or needs, the church is here for you, so please let us know. And remember, there’s “no place like Grace!”

6-23-20 Update

Hello amazing Grace World family!

Jenna and I wanted to update you and address some of the things that are happening within our community and state right now. I’m sure that you have already seen that Florida’s numbers for positive cases of Covid-19 have been increasing pretty significantly across the state. The good news is that here in Hernando County our numbers have continued to stay low. In the last week, there has been a slight increase and because of that we want to encourage you to continue to show good judgment and leadership by remaining community conscience.

Please continue to:

  • make sure you are healthy
  • take your temperature before leaving the house
  • practice good hygiene by washing your hands
  • wear a face covering

The Florida Health Department recommends that while you are out and especially if it is difficult to keep a six foot distance of space, to make sure that you are wearing a face covering. It is possible that this may be mandated in the near future as other counties have already begun to do, so let’s be proactive in this situation.

On Sunday, you will notice that our greeters, host team members, prayer team workers and those serving in ministry will be wearing face coverings to honor each person that walks through the doors. Honor is one of the core values here at Grace. We want our church to be a welcoming environment for everyone. In light of eternity, wearing a face covering is a small inconvenience.  Let us be men and women who honor one another by preferring one another over ourselves.

We are still in Phase 2 of re-opening while following all the CDC guidelines and recommendations. Here’s what Phase 2 means:

  • Sunday mornings are open at 10am in the Dome
  • Live from the Dome into your home every Sunday morning
  • FM broadcast is also available in the parking lot by tuning in to 102.7
  • Grace Kids & *Grace Kids Jr is open
*pre-registration is required for Grace Kids Jr, click here to register

Beginning July 1, we will be opening our Wednesday night services. Our first Wednesday will be a Night of Habitation with Evangelist Robert Martin. In the weeks following, our pastoral team will be teaching on “Dangerous Prayers” in the Dome. A few of our Kids programs will also begin to be open and available.

This Sunday, we will finish our sermon series on Joshua with a message entitled, “It’s Time to Decide”. In July, we will begin a brand new series out of Psalm 23.

We look forward to seeing you whether it is in the Dome or from your home. If there is anything that we can do for you, know that you can reach out and call the church offices or contact us through our website. We love you and remember, there’s no place like Grace!

6-10-20 Update

Hello Grace World!

It’s been so good to be together again! I am so thankful to those who have been able to come back into the Dome. As you know, there are three great way that you can participate in our weekend service; in the Dome in person, listening from your vehicle in the parking lot on FM 102.7 and also our livestream at graceworldag.org. I’ve heard great feedback from those of you who are watching us on our livestream. Our team has done a great job in making our online experience a priority. We want you to feel just as connected online as you would if you were here.

I wanted to take a moment to update you on many of the things happening here at the church. Starting on Wednesday, July 1, we will begin moving into our Phase 2 plan of re-opening the church. Phase 2 continues with our Sunday morning services at 50% capacity in the Dome and allows us to open our mid-week activities. The first Wednesday of the month will be our Night of Habitation service. Robert Martin will be back with us again for a powerful night of revival. As we continue to move forward in the month of July, we will also have a class taking place on Wednesday nights in the Dome. GEMS Girls Club, Royal Rangers and Ascend Student Ministries are moving toward a phased reopening as well. During Phase 2, our Grace Connect groups can begin to come together again following the recommendations from the CDC.

Grace Kids Jr, our nursery program for children 0-4 years old will be opening back up on Sunday, June 21. Parents, please make sure you pre-register your child(ren) on our website so that we can make sure we have the space and workers needed. We are continuing to follow all of the CDC recommendations to ensure the safety of our children and workers. We have been blessed with an amazing team working in Grace Kids and Grace Kids, Jr!

Grace, you have been wonderful at remaining community conscience and taking personal responsibility for looking out for the well being of our congregation and our community as well, so thank you! Please continue to do so as you come onto the campus. Make sure everyone in your home is healthy, take your temperatures before leaving the house, do not congregate in the foyer, etc. You may have heard the Florida is receiving more reports of increased positive cases of the coronavirus. As the state begins to open up a bit more, that is to be expected. Let it also be a reminder to us that the threat of the illness is not over and the necessity to make sure we continue to take care of one another. I realize that many of us are frustrated hearing this, and are ready for it to end and get back to normal, but it is incredibly important that we continue to set a good example, show good leadership, good judgment in our community, respect each other’s space, practice social distancing, maintain good hygiene and show love to each other from afar.

I love what God has been doing in this house! Church doesn’t just happen here on a Sunday. This house has been a house that offers healing and bringing the good news to this community every day of the week. Tuesday morning, we had a farmshare delivery that took place. The Project 25/35 team arrived early to prepare for distribution. Upon their early arrival, they were met with a vehicle parked in our parking lot. A gentleman was inside the vehicle contemplating on taking his life. He felt like he was at his wits end. He needed someone to show him the love of Christ. Alan & Charlotte Edwards along with Steve & Gay Vickers met him, took time to genuinely minister to him, show him the love of Christ, gave him food, invited him to church, and made sure he was taken care of. There truly is no place like Grace! We are better together!

Thank you for continuing to give, to serve, and calling Grace home. We have watched God move powerfully during this time. We are a church that is already in revival. We see it every single day and hunger to see it happen even more.

Don’t forget that this Friday, June 12, there will be a special gathering taking place at 5:00pm in downtown Brooksville at the Brooksville Common. Our churches, community leaders, council members, politicians, and educators of every race will be gathering together, not in protest, but in unity to pray for our community. I would love to see you there as we continue to watch God answer prayers we have been praying.

Grace World, I love you and will see you this weekend!

Pastor Daniel Norris

5-28-20 Update

Hello Grace World family,

This upcoming weekend is Pentecost Sunday! I feel such a stirring within my spirit for the church at large and have great expectations for what God will do at Grace this weekend. Our prayer warriors and intercessors have been sharing many words and dreams about a fresh outpouring. No doubt, we need a fresh Pentecost! This is a Sunday you definitely do not want to miss. Remember, there are three ways to be part of our service: live in the Dome, in your home, or from the parking lot tuned into 102.7FM.
We will also have a special Pentecost joint service taking place at 6pm with our Assemblies of God section churches. This will be an online only service that will be accessible through our Facebook page or website.
As you know, we are in our first phase of reopening our public gatherings. Over these past three weeks you have continued to do such a great job of coming together again and doing so while being community conscious. Last week 380 people were in attendance in our live gathering. As our numbers increase each week, we need to stay mindful of how we come together. Each of us must take personal responsibility for the well-being of our church and our community. Though Hernando County’s number of coronavirus cases are very low, the threat of the illness still exists.
Here are some ways that you can help us this weekend before and after you arrive to the church:

  1. Make sure that every member of your family is healthy. If you show any signs of fever or congestion or are experiencing flu like symptoms, please be responsible and remain at home and enjoy the service via live stream.
  2. If you are checking kids into Grace Kids, please check their temperature first from home and let our Grace Kids team know upon your arrival. If you forget, their temperature will be checked on site.
  3. Access to the facility will only be through the main entrance of the Dome foyer. Because our foyer space is limited, greeters will be standing outside to help alleviate any crowds. Please proceed directly into the Dome, find an open pew, and move to the center to allow our guests to easily find a seat.
  4. Maintain social distancing. We understand how difficult this can be when we’re around our church family. It is part of our culture to shake hands and give hugs. Remain community conscience and considerate of those who want to maintain distance and continue to set a good example for our church family, our guests and our community.

This weekend we will also be opening up Grace Kids from kindergarten to the sixth grade. Pastor Jacob and I have just recorded a new update that will help our parents with the new check-in procedure so that we can help keep our kids and families safe.
I know this season of being in between has come with both fear and frustration. Thank you for being faithful, showing patience and understanding during this time. None of us want this to become our new normal. I’m not interested in learning to coexist with the virus. We are moving forward to something better…better than before! I remain confident that the days of this virus are numbered! We still believe in healing. We still believe there is power in the name of Jesus over every disease. We still believe that the greatest move of God our nation has ever seen is upon us!
By the way did I mention this weekend is Pentecost Sunday?
Believing for Revival,
Daniel & Jenna

5-22-20 Update

Dear Grace Family,

Jenna and I thank you for being great leaders to our community by showing good judgment these past two weeks as we have begun the first steps of coming together again.  As a reminder we have three great options for you to attend our weekend service. You can join us in the Dome, in the parking lot and tune into the service at 102.7 FM, or online at graceworldag.org.  If you are joining us in the Dome we want you to know that we are following all of the local health department recommendations. It is also equally important that you help us be community conscious by following all of the social distancing recommendations.
For those who are 65 and older, have a compromised immune system or have been advised to avoid crowds we understand that it is not wise for you join us in the Dome. Jenna and I want you to be able to follow those recommendations without feeling any guilt or pressure. We miss you, but want you to be safe and healthy. It is important to us that you feel very much connected and part of the church, so we have prioritized our online campus at the same level as the live gathering. Though we are not physically together, we are still in this together and prayerfully will all be together again soon.
Also, this weekend we will begin the step-by-step process of bringing Grace Kids back. This Sunday we will be starting with fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students. Pastor Jacob has recorded a video that will walk you through the process we will be following on Sunday. Parents, please take the time to familiarize yourself with the check in procedure as it will be different from what you have been used to from the past (https://www.facebook.com/GraceKidsGWOC/videos/683137892482636/?). This is a great first initial step to being able to minister to the entire family.
Lastly, this is Memorial Day weekend. I’m reminded of those that paid the ultimate price giving their life so that you and I could have the freedom to worship Jesus together. This weekend whether you are joining us online, in the parking lot, or in the Dome let’s remember those who gave their all.
Jenna and I love you deeply, are praying for you continually, and are here for you if you need anything. Please do not hesitate to contact the church to let our pastoral team know if there is any way that we can be of assistance to you. I realize these are frustrating and frightening times for many but have been so impressed by your faithfulness to the Lord and to one another. There truly is no place like Grace, and we cannot wait to see you this weekend.

Better Together,

Pastors Daniel and Jenna Norris

5-6-20 Update

Grace World,

Jenna and I are excited to share this news with you!  After six weeks under a “safer-at-home” order, it is now time to start to come together again!
This Sunday, May 10th, we will begin a phased re-opening of our public gatherings. What a wonderful gift for Mother’s Day!  We have missed seeing you and look forward to gathering once again to worship the Lord together as a family.
Starting this Sunday we will offer three convenient, easy, and safe ways for you to be able to join the service.
The first option is joining us in the Dome. Yes! The doors will be open for you and your family to enjoy the service. In order to remain compliant with our state and local governments, we will only be able to fill the Dome to 25% capacity. Since it’s such a large space, that gives us room to accommodate around 400 people and still follow the CDC recommendations of 6 foot social distance and space. If you plan to attend service with us in the Dome it’s very important that you help us by following a community conscious approach. You and I need to take personal responsibility for the well-being of our church and our community at this time. We want to show good judgment and good leadership. When you leave your house make sure that you and your family are healthy. If anyone is not feeling well, please stay at home and enjoy our service online. Upon arrival to the Dome, please remember to continue to adhere to the recommendations that we’ve been hearing and practice 6 feet of social distancing space. I know this is difficult for many of us because we want greet each other with a hug, however, this Sunday is not the time. Let’s simply enjoy the fact that we get to come together to worship the Lord. This will help keep everyone and help everyone feel safe as they come. We’ve also added additional hand sanitizing stations to the foyer as well as additional cleaning staff to make sure we maintain a very safe, healthy, and sanitized environment.
Grace Kids and our Grace Nursery will remain closed at this time. However, in the Dome, we have reserved every other row and are asking our families to sit together and allow 6 foot of space between you and the next family. Since the kids will be joining their family in the sanctuary, we will have a family friendly and abbreviated service. Our Grace Kids department has done a great job of putting together kits to put into the hands of our kids to have during the service.
Many of you have asked for another option to be a part of our services because of your location not having a strong Internet connection. We also know that some of you may not feel comfortable gathering in large groups, are in the category of being 65 years of age or older or you or someone in your immediate family have compromised immune systems. We now have a second option for you to join our service live from the safety of your own vehicle while on the church property through an FM transmitter. Tune into 102.7 to listen and be with us throughout the service. There will be a reserved space for you on the east side of the parking lot between the Dome and the Catholic Church. I know this will be a blessing to many so make sure you take advantage of this opportunity.
Our third option is our online campus. We’ve been watching the church reach more people than ever before in our community, the Nature Coast and around the world. This weekend you can join us live in the Dome, from your car on the FM radio station or on our online campus. Whichever option you choose, remember, we’re better together and now we get to be together again. We will see you this Sunday and look forward to celebrating and worshiping the Lord with you!

5/1/20 Update

Hello Grace World!

It’s Friday, May 1st and we wanted to give you an update of what is happening here at the church.
Can you believe that a month has come and gone? April began with lot of fear, anxiety and uncertainty.  It was a month where many were “Sheltered In Place.”  Now looking back you can see that you were actually “Sheltered In His Grace.”  God has been faithful and has brought each of us through.  Looking ahead into a brand new month, we can trust that if He has brought us this far there’s no doubt that He will continue lead, guide and direct our steps.
Jenna and I cannot wait to be TOGETHER AGAIN! During these past six weeks of social distancing, one verse that we have prayed often over our church family is Philippians 1:3-6, which says, “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
It’s true. We have all partnered together in the gospel during this time.  We have watched you love and serve our community by simply being “Jesus with skin on”. During this season, we have reached more than ever before. Daily, I am hearing testimonies of individuals and families that have been added to the church or introduced to Grace World for the very first time. They may have never come through the doors of the church, but the Lord has used this season of crisis as an opportunity to reach many in a time of need. We could not be more proud to call you not only our church but also our family.
This Sunday we have another chance to do it all over again as we go live from the dome to your home at 10am.  We are continuing our series “Risen In Me” a study through the book of Colossians. This week I am excited to share a message entitled “A New Way to be Human” from chapter 3.  Remember this weekend the only way to experience our service is online.  Make sure you’re logged in a few minutes before ten to greet one another in our virtual lobby.
As you may be aware, our governor has issued a brand new executive order that goes into effect Monday, May 4. This executive order outlines the first phase of his safe, smart, step-by-step plan for reopening our state. With that order comes guidance from our state as well as our local county government that will allow us to begin a phased reopening of our services. We have been working with our pastors, elders and local leaders to implement a similar phased reopening. Next week we will share those details with you. The first phase will be a small step towards meeting together in the dome.
Jenna and I deeply love and care about you and are praying for you! If there is something that you need please remember that your church is here for you. Give us a call, send an email, or contact us through the website. We’re here to help. Don’t forget to join us live on Sunday morning. Looking forward to the day when we can all be #togetheragain!

Update 4/16/20

Hello Grace World family!

This is Pastors Daniel and Jenna writing to let you know some of the important things happening at the church. Our service schedule will remain the same as last week. Our campus is still closed and our services are only available online. We truly miss seeing you but are thankful in this season of social distancing that technology allows us to remain connected to each other. Thank you for engaging with all of the online content that the church is producing on a weekly basis. There is something for everyone in your family, from Grace Kids, to Ascend Student Ministries, our weekend services, prayer services and times of worship throughout the week. If you’re curious when any of this content is available we’ve provided an online schedule that you can see posted here on this page.

One thing that we want to make you aware of is Financial Peace University. Our original plan was to make FPU available during our spring quarter of our Grace Equip classes, however, the safer-at-home order obviously caused us to have to adjust our schedule. We understand the importance of this information and how vital it is to get into the hands of many regular attenders of our congregation. Instead of waiting until this pandemic is over to have the class, Financial Peace University will be available in a virtual classroom experience starting on Wednesday, April 29. You can sign up and register now on our website (https://graceworld.churchcenter.com/groups/grace-equip-groups-spring-2020/financial-peace-virtual). As an added bonus, if you call Grace World Outreach Church home (or if you have a friend that is not connected to a home church that this would be a benefit to), there is no cost to take the class. The church will be making this investment into you. Make the most of this opportunity for yourself, your family and financial future.

Another opportunity that we want you to be aware of is our Compassion Food Outreach that will take place this Saturday from 9am-11am. Grace is happy to provide a free bag of groceries to any family in need. If you know someone that could use an extra blessing during this season, please make sure that you communicate this information to them. Also if you would like to serve during this event, please contact the church offices for more information. What an incredible opportunity to continue to show the love of Jesus to our city!

Last, let me remind you of these timely words of Jesus found in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”  There’s not a single one of us that knows what tomorrow, next week or even next month holds. Jesus promises that the same peace that allowed Him to rest in the midst of a mighty storm at sea is the same peace He offers to us in the midst of our own storms. Our prayer for you is that in this season, that you would experience the shalom, the peace of God, resting upon you, your family and home.

We are here for you and truly love and miss you! Continue to stay engaged and connected. We will see you online from the dome to your home this Sunday at 10am!

Update 4/9/20

Grace World, I’ve got good news!

He is risen! He has risen indeed!

As I think back to that first Easter, nothing went according to the plan. Certainly not for the disciples or for the people in Jerusalem. However, everything went according to the divine plan. God worked an unbelievable miracle.
Similarly this Easter, nothing has gone according to plan. None of us could have imagined at the beginning of 2020 that we would be celebrating Resurrection Sunday separately in our own homes. This caught us by surprise but I can promise that it has not caught God by surprise. He is truly at work in all things for our good and His glory!
It seems that on a daily basis Jenna and I receive correspondence from those within our church, as well as around the nation that we know, asking for prayer as they face their own personal crisis. Similarly, I’m also receiving correspondence from people that are sharing testimonies of how God has miraculously moved in spite of the crisis! This is just a reminder that through it all He is faithful. You’re not going through this alone. We have a faithful God who promises to walk with us through the storm and you have a strong church family around you.  If you need something, please let us know!  We are here for you.
I want to give you three important updates for this week:

First, this weekend is our Resurrection Sunday Service. It will be broadcast online at 10am. We have a special, powerful service planned, but it is only available online (please do not come to the Dome, as no one will be there). Even though we are not able to gather together, we can still throw the net wide across the Nature Coast and around the world.  Inviting people to church has never been easier than it is right now! During this Resurrection weekend, so many are looking for hope. Help us get the word out by sharing this service throughout all your social media platforms.
Second, this Friday at 7pm we will have a special Good Friday drive-in communion service. This will be a great time to come together as the church as we celebrate the Lord’s supper. When you come, make sure that you enter into the parking lot using the east entrance. This is accessed by Hope Hill Road between the Catholic Church and the Dome. We will have a team to help direct you to a good parking space so that you can see the service from your vehicle and give you the communion elements.  I, along with our entire staff, truly miss our church family and hope you can make it to this special moment.
Last, over these last few weeks I have communicated to you the importance of making sure that everyone in our church is connected in one of our Grace groups. Over the last two weeks, our incredible Grace group leaders have been making phone calls and sending text messages in order to get in contact with everyone who attends Grace World. I have asked them to do this because it is so important that we remain connected during this time! It’s the way we get through the storm. If you have not received contact from one of our leaders, there is a good chance that we do not have accurate contact information for you. I don’t want anybody to be missed. If you have not heard from one of our leaders please contact us through the website, through a message on Facebook or by giving us a call at the church offices. We have over 50 small groups available on our website that you can search and join today.

Grace World, remember that even though our building is closed during this time, the church certainly is not. We are here for you! Jenna and I love you and we are praying for you. I look forward to when we are all able to be together this Friday and especially look forward to celebrating the resurrection of our Savior this Sunday at 10am.

We are better together!

Pastors Daniel and Jenna Norris

Update 4/2/20

Dear Grace World Family,

Yesterday our governor issued a “Safe at Home” executive order directing all Floridians to stay at home during this coronavirus pandemic and only leave for essential services.

This moves our church coronavirus response level to “4” (see chart below). This means that our campus is closed for all non-essential activities. All campus-based activities are suspended.  And our weekend services are only available online.  Let me reiterate –  this weekend our service will be broadcasted LIVE from the dome to your home, Sunday at 10AM.  This is the safest and only way for you to enjoy our weekend celebration.  Our entire team has worked hard to make sure that your online viewing experience is excellent and powerful.   I’m proud of the way this team has served this house. (If you have no way to watch online, please contact our office so that we can make arrangements  for you.)

This past Sunday you set an all time record for the number of devices  logged onto our service.  The service itself was the most viewed in our history.  This week let’s see if we can double that! Make the most of this moment – host an online watch party, share the livestream or invite a friend or loved one over to have church in your home.  This is such an incredible opportunity to take the gospel around the Nature Coast and around the world!

The governor’s executive order does allow assembly for religious services. However, we want to be in full compliance with the CDCs safety recommendations.  With that said, we will be having a special Drive-In Good Friday Communion  Service.  This will take place in the East Parking Lot (between the dome and the Catholic Church) April 10 at 7pm.  You will remain in your vehicle and be able to enjoy this special moment together!  Let’s come together and enjoy the Lord’s Supper as one church family!

I know that the latest news from the state and our President is worrisome.  Let me encourage you to not let fear and anxiety overtake you.  Fear empowers the enemy.  Faith invites the Kingdom!

Philippians 4:6-7 says “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Let me reassure you:  You’re going to get through this!  How do I know?  Because you’re not alone!  You have an awesome God and an amazing church family that surrounds you.  We are getting through this together and will thrive on the other side.

I pray that all fear and anxiety about tomorrow would dissipate and that your faith would be strengthened.  You are needed now more than ever!  Don’t miss this opportunity to show the world around you the Jesus you have within you!

Know that if you need anything, we are a call or email away.

With Much Love,

Daniel & Jenna Norris

Update 3/26/20

Grace World, it has been a blessing to watch as you have reached out and ministered to this community.  You’ve taken heed to our advice, taking refuge in Christ our Rock and taking refuge in one another.  At the same time you have not held back from embracing the great commission.  In a time when so many business doors, school doors, government doors in our community are shutting, you’ve opened your hearts and doors wide to minister to the Nature Coast!  Thank you for being who Christ called you to be!

Beginning on April 6th, Grace World and Joseph House will be partnering to provide free to-go lunches for our community every Monday and Wednesday at noon.  We will serve until we run out.  The meals on Monday and Wednesday will be provided at the church.  Joseph House will continue to serve a supper on Fridays at 5pm on Josephine St.   If you know someone to whom this would be a blessing please let them know.

I also want to make you aware that our state has issued a health advisory to all Floridians over the age of 65 to stay home as much as possible, self isolate and avoid crowds.  This virus is particularly harmful to those who are over the age of 65 and to those of any age with underlying health concerns.  I encourage you to follow the advise of our local health department and make use of all the online content we are providing for you as a church to keep you connected.

Our campus is not closed, but we have limited access to certain areas and functions.  Until further notice all midweek campus activities are suspended.  We have also prioritized the livestream for our Sunday morning service and recommend that you enjoy our service from the safety and comfort of your home.   That’s right, live from the Dome into your home.  We look forward to seeing you online this Sunday at 10am.  Parents, if you log on early to the live stream, at 9:55 Pastor Jacob will be doing a devotional with your kids.

It is important for you to know, that while we have limited access to the campus during this time.  The doors do remain open.  A church is a hospital for the hurting and a beacon of light for the lost.  As long as we are able to and it is safe to do so,  we will not close our doors to our community in this time of great need.

If you need the office for something during the week, please call first.  If we can provide assistance by phone, that will help us limit traffic.  If you do need to come in person, please enter through the office lobby.  You will note that we have new procedures in place for access.  All of this is done in observance with CDC recommendations and for your safety as well as the safety of our staff.  We appreciate your understanding as we all navigate this new season.

If you choose to come to the Dome on Sunday please note the following:

  • Only The Dome will be open for the 10am Service.
  • All GraceEquip Classes, Grace Cafe, Grace Kids, Grace Kids, Jr are suspended.
  • The FLC and Christian Ed buildings will be closed.
  • Entrance to the Dome will only be allowed through the foyer.
  • Our Dome allows ample room to practice social distancing.
  • If you are sick, showing symptoms of sickness, or have a member of your household who is sick, please remain at home.  Make sure you call your doctor and then let us know so we can be praying for you.
  • Remember to practice good hygiene by following the CDC recommendations.
  • If you are elderly or have underlying health concerns, protect yourself by avoiding crowds.
  • Do not feel any pressure or guilt to attend.  We are prioritizing and recommending the livestream.
  • If you do not have a reliable internet connection or are unable to watch our service.  Let us know and we can provide a CD or DVD or the service.  We do not want you to miss out. (Please contact Pastor David Looper – david.looper@graceworldag.org)

One final and important note, during this time it is so important that distance does not create disconnection.  As your pastor I want to know every person who calls Grace World home is connected and cared for in a GraceConnect group.  We have over 40 groups available on our website that you can click and register for at this moment. I am not asking you to sign up to meet in a home. That is not possible for many at this time.  However, just because meeting together isn’t possible, we can still connect together.  Our group leaders have stepped up to stay in contact with every member of the church during this time.   Please find a group and engage with that group online and with your leader.

Jenna and I love you and we are praying for you and your family.  Your church is here for you. If you have a need, let us or your leader know.

Daniel K Norris,

Lead Pastor

Update 3/24/20

Dear Grace Family,

Sunday I shared that in times of great shaking two things will take place.  1) Everything that can be shaken is revealed 2) Everything that can not be shaken is revealed.  It is important in these times that we take notice which things are which.  Today I asked Pedro Rodrigez, our Men of Grace leader, what things in your life have been revealed as unshakable in these past two weeks.  Without hesitation he said, “My faith has not been shaken.”  He said its reassuring in times like these see how our faith is proven in times of trial.
When the ground beneath us becomes unsettled, know that there are solid things, sure things upon which we can retreat and find refuge.  My friend, I don’t have all the answers for trials and tests that life has thrown our way, I just have the Answer.  You know Him as well.  He is the One who holds tomorrow.  He is the one who said, “don’t worry about tomorrow.”  Remain in Him and together we will triumph.
Today many families across our nation and community are presently dealing with the virus.  Let us lift them up in prayer as we continue intercede for our nation in this time of crisis.  Many of neighbors and within our nation are frightened.  They are looking for hope.  You and I are carriers of that hope!  During this time, don’t miss the opportunity to embrace the great commission and be about the our Father’s business.  Let’s win souls in the season!  It truly is ripe.
To give you an update concerning our schedule.  Our pastoral team and our worship and creative arts department has worked diligently to provide content for your family during this time.  We’ve created a schedule of times and online venues when you can expect ministries to go live or drop content.
In terms of our campus schedule.  We are currently at a Level 3 response (see my update from 3/17/2020). This means that all midweek campus activities are suspended and access to our office is limited.  We have prioritized the live stream for our Sunday Morning service and recommend that you enjoy our service from the safety and comfort of your home.
It is important for you to know, that while we have limited access to the campus during this time.  The doors do remain open.  A church is a hospital for the hurting and a beacon of light for the lost.  As long as we are able to and it is safe to do so,  we will not close our doors to our community in this time of great need.

  • If you are elderly or have underlying health concerns, protect yourself by avoiding crowds.
  • Do not feel any pressure or guilt to attend.  We are prioritizing and recommending the livestream for you.
  • If you do not have a reliable internet connection or are unable to watch our service.  Let us know and we can provide a CD or DVD or the service.  We do not want you to miss out. (Please contact Pastor David Looper – david.looper@graceworldag.org)

Last, I want to remind you that during this present some we must take refuge in Christ and refuge in one another.  It’s the way we weather the storm and come through victorious on the other side.  We are coming through this and we are coming through together.
To this end, we have added over twenty new Connect groups to our website.  I am asking everyone who calls Grace World home go to www.graceworldag.org and sign up for a group.   I am not asking you to sign up to go into homes, or connect outside of the church.  This is about connection and care.  We need one another and our Grace Group leaders have stepped up to stay in contact with every member of the church during this time.  You may have to be distant, but you don’t have to be disconnected.
Know that Jenna and I are praying for you and your family.  We Love you and our church is here for you.

Update 3/20/20

Dear Grace Family,

Yesterday Hernando County declared a local “State of Emergency” after four people were confirmed to have the coronavirus.  Our county officials have asked our community to observe the CDC recommendations to help mitigate the spread of this dangerous virus.  To help our congregation honor that request, we are recommending that you enjoy our service from your home this Sunday at 10am.
We will be streaming the service from the Dome into your home at 10am.  You can access that stream at https://graceworldag.org/livestream as well as https://www.facebook.com/graceworldag/.
Our doors will remain open as it is a conviction that the church is a vital part of the community.  A church is a hospital for the hurting and a beacon of light for the lost.  As long as we are able we will keep doors open to serve our community in a time of great need.
If you choose to come to the Dome on Sunday please note the following:

  • Only The Dome will be open for the 10am Service.
  • All GraceEquip Classes, Grace Cafe, Grace Kids, Grace Kids, Jr are suspended for the next two weeks.

This is the greatest moment I have ever seen for the sharing of the gospel.  The harvest truly is ripe and there is an urgency in this moment to share the life changing news of Jesus with our friends, family and neighbors.  What a great opportunity to invite a friend to your home to do church with your family.  Don’t miss the season!
Also we’ve taken Grace Kids and Ascend youth ministry online as well.  You can find that content on our Facebook page and soon access it on the website.
All changes and updates will be first announced and uploaded to our website HERE.  Be sure to check the site often for the latest changes.
Grace World, remember we are in this together and will get through this together!
Jenna and Love you and our church is here for you.
I’m looking forward to seeing you this Sunday at 10 as we worship Jesus together all across the Nature Coast.

Update 3/18/20

Tonight we broadcasted a one hour livestream from the Dome.  We had people watching not only from our church but also from all around the world.  Grace World Outreach Church reached out to the globe tonight!  We didn’t realize that we had been preparing for this moment for the past two years.  Grace, you were called for such a time as this!

I announced several important updates to our schedule and explained our response plan with the congregation.  We are all navigating through unfamiliar waters and uncertain times.  I appreciate your grace as we continue to seek God’s guidance on the way forward.

Firstly, our Sunday Morning 10am service will be streamed live from the Dome.  For the next two weeks we encourage you enjoy our service via the livestream broadcast.  That said, our doors will be open.  The church is a hospital for the hurting.  In times of troubled waters it remains a beacon of light for those who are lost.

If you choose to come on Sunday please note the following

  • Only The Dome will be open for the 10am Service.
  • All GraceEquip Classes, Grace Cafe, Grace Kids, Grace Kids, Jr are suspended for the next two weeks.
  • Remember to practice good hygiene. Wash your hands frequently, or use hand sanitizer.  Avoid touching your face.  If you have to sneeze or cough, use your elbow.
  • If you are elderly or have underlying health concerns, protect yourself by avoiding crowds.
  • Do not feel any pressure or guilt to attend.  We are prioritizing the livestream for you.
  • If you do not have a reliable internet connection or are unable to watch our service.  Let us know and we can provide a CD or DVD or the service.  We do not want you to miss out. (Please contact Pastor David Looper – david.looper@graceworldag.org)

During this unprecedented season I want to share with you four things we must do as a church for one another.

  1. Maintain my CONNECTION to the body

In times like these, you need the church and the church needs you. In the coming weeks I need you to prioritize our Sunday service and connection in a GraceConnect group.  Our Sundays will be our collective rally cry and our groups will be your vital connection to the body.
  2. Maintain CONTACT with the body

I commit to keeping constant contact with you.  We use various means to communicate but our website and text messaging will be the primary source. Make sure you’re signed up for text message updates by texting the word “CONNECT” to 833-222-2597 and book mark www.graceworldag.org.
  3. I must remain CHARITABLE towards the body

In order for Grace to care for your family and this community we must remain financially healthy.  In the days to come there will be a lot of needs in our church family and community.  Your faithfulness in giving enables us to meet those needs.
  4. Faith says I must CARE for the body

The early church had no choice but to care for one another.  They survived and thrived because they looked after one another’s needs.  We must embrace this attitude.

If you would like to help in leading a GraceConnect group please email robert.brosher@graceworldag.org and if you have a need contact our pastoral care department at david.looper@graceworldag.org.

Lastly, I shared our road map for the months ahead.  We are entering a storm that none of us has ever faced before, yet this congregation is well prepared to not only survive through, but thrive as well.  One thing Floridians know how to do is survive a storm.  We know how to take refuge in the storm, how to rebuild after the storm and how to revive into a new normal.  We will face this storm together and will be stronger on the other side.

This is the graphic I discussed during tonight’s broadcast.  For a full explanation,  please watch the video.  I begin to discuss this at the 50 minute mark.

Grace World, you are an amazing church.  I want you to keep your head high and be filled with faith.  These days ahead will be trying times, but this is where the church has always thrived.  These are great days and you are up for the challenge.  Don’t be discouraged or dismayed.  This is the season to see signs, wonders and miracles!

Know that you are in our prayers,

Daniel & Jenna

Update 3/17/20

Grace World Family,

Today our intercessors gathered to lift up our community and congregation before the Lord.  There are many who are troubled over what they see on the news and read online.  Each family is trying to navigate through these times of uncertainty and preparing for the unknown.
When I feel uncertain or stressed, my go to is Psalm 91.  Let me encourage you to pray this Psalm over your family daily.  Make it a declaration and invitation to find yourself taking refuge in Christ.  Those who do, find rest from the storms of life and the promise of God’s provision and protection.  No matter the problem, Christ is the solution.
Please know that we are praying for you everyday.  If you need prayer or have a need, let us know.  You can send prayer requests here https://graceworldag.org/prayer-requests.
I want to remind you that we have suspended all midweek activities at our campus for the next two weeks.  This means our Royal Rangers,  GEMS Girls Club, Ascend Student Ministries, and GraceEquip groups will not be meeting.
This allows us to create distance between our campus activities and limit the areas of the church we must monitor and sanitize during a gathering. Your safety and security is a top concern for us and we are following the local and state health department’s recommendations for gatherings.
Tomorrow evening, I need you to join me for a special livestream at 7 pm.  This event can be accessed on our Facebook page and website at https://www.graceworldag.churchonline.org.  We will have a time of worship together and share with you our response plan for the days and weeks ahead.
If you haven’t yet signed up for our text updates, please do so. You can text the word “CONNECT” to 833-222-2597.
We will get through this, and we will do so together!

Jenna and I love you and we are praying for you.

Daniel K Norris

Update 3/16/20

Grace World Family,

We continue to monitor the recommendations of our local and state health departments.  Out of an abundance of caution and to provide distance between our activities we are suspending our midweek programs for the next two weeks.  This means all classes and groups that meet on campus Monday-Saturday are postponed.
Compassion Food will take place on Saturday with new distribution methods.  Our prayer team will also be gathering tomorrow for a time of intercession for our nation and community.  If you have any needs, please share them with us at https://graceworldag.org/prayer-requests.
We will update you on Wednesday concerning the Sunday service.
This Wednesday evening at 7pm we invite you to join us online for a special live broadcast from  the dome.  We will stream live to www.graceworldag.org and to our Facebook page.  If you have a question concerning the current crisis please comment below or send us a message.  I will try to answer as many questions as I can during that time.
Last, please make sure you are signed up to receive updates from the church.  Text the word “CONNECT” to 833-222-2597.
Know that Jenna and I love you and are praying for you and your family.  We will get through this together and will be stronger on the other side!

Believing For Revival,
Daniel K Norris

Update 3/12/20

Dear Grace World Family,

Jenna and I send you our love and greetings.  I trust and pray you are doing well and most importantly enjoying the presence of our Lord.  We count it an honor to serve such an amazing church and are looking forward to celebrating Jesus with you this weekend!

This Sunday, I took a few moments to address the outbreak of the coronavirus and offer some wisdom from the Word of God on how we as people of faith should respond in times like these:

  1. Live by FAITH not FEAR.
Paul’s words to Timothy is wisdom for us today.  “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (1 Tim 1:7)  The media has stirred up a lot of fear and many have been swept up into the hysteria.  Remember, the name of Jesus is greater than every other name and this virus, named “corona,” is no different.

As people of faith, let us pray for our nation and those families affected by the illness.  Pray for the virus and fear to cease. Last, pray that the Lord would turn what the enemy meant for evil for our good and cause our nation to turn to Him in repentance.  Pray with me for revival!
  2. Walk-in Wisdom
God has called us to pursue wisdom and exercise good judgment in all things. Right now, there is a lot of false information being shared about the virus. You can find the most reliable recommendations and news on the CDC website. (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html)  One of the most practical things you can do is practice good hygiene by washing your hands often and not touching your face.  If you are in poor health or if you are not feeling well, please stay home and consult your doctor.

It is also good for you to know that our facilities and children’s areas are cleaned and sanitized after each use.  We use best practices to ensure the safety and security of our property.  This has always been the case, and it is in moments like these that you appreciate the strong dedicated team that serves this church.
  3. Stay Connected to the Body
Know that you are part of an amazing church family.  It’s true, there really is no place like Grace!  If for any reason you are unable to attend service on a weekend, know that we still have a great way for you to stay connected.

Being 24/7 digital and on-demand has been a priority for the church for the past two years.  Our Sunday service is streamed live and is rebroadcasted every Monday evening at 8:30 pm so you don’t have to miss anything.  Everything you need to communicate and connect with the church is available online, including online giving. (Our online giving has recently changed, so now is a good time to check that your info is updated.)

Should the need arise we will always communicate important information on our website (www.graceworldag.org) and social media (facebook.com/graceworldag).  Make sure you are following us checking back often for updates.
Likewise, if you need us, feel free to call the church office at 352.796.3685 and ask for our Pastoral Care department or request to be added to our prayer list https://graceworldag.org/prayer-requests.  Every week our intercessors and pastors lift up the needs of our church before the Lord.
  4. The Gospel is the Answer!
People all across the nation presently talking about the virus.  They are concerned about their own well being.  Perhaps the most important thing to remember in times like these is the incredible opportunity to share the Gospel with those who need it most!  Rather than feed into their fears, choose to speak faith instead.  The Gospel has always thrived in times of uncertainty.  The church was birthed for moments like this!  Let’s simply be who Christ called us to be and offer hope.

Respond to FEAR with FAITH! These are the moments the Church was made for!

Believing For Revival,

Daniel & Jenna Norris
