Why We Pray for Israel
As headlines swirl and opinions crowd our feeds, I want to call us back, not to what politics or culture say, but to what Scripture declares.
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! May they be secure who love you!” (Psalm 122:6, ESV)
“For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not be quiet…” (Isaiah 62:1, ESV)
God has not forgotten His covenant. Israel still matters. And as those who have been grafted in by grace, we are invited to carry His heart for His people.
As the conflict between Israel and Iran escalates, I want to ask you this week to:
- Pray daily for the peace of Jerusalem.
- Intercede for the protection of innocent lives—Jew and Arab alike.
- Ask the Lord to let salvation spring up like a well in Israel.
- Pray that Jerusalem would become a “praise in the earth” once more.
Let us not be silent.
Let us not grow weary.
Let us stand where God stands.
This weekend, I’ll be sharing a timely and powerful word I believe the Lord has given for our house. Come ready. Come expectant.
Praying With You,
Pastor
