When You’re Betrayed…

This Sunday, we step into what may be the most difficult and most powerful moment in our Giant Slayer: The Life of David series.

We find David in a place none of us wants to be. He is no longer just facing external giants; he is dealing with the consequences of his own sin. The ripple effect has touched his family, and in the middle of it all, he experiences one of the deepest betrayals of his life.

And here’s what makes this moment so weighty. David responds in a way that is completely opposite of what feels natural.

When betrayed, everything in us wants to defend, react, justify, and fight back.

But David shows us another way, a Kingdom way.

He reveals that in moments of betrayal, we are faced with a defining question.

Will I trust God to defend my name, or will I take that into my own hands?

This message hits differently. It’s for anyone who has been hurt, wounded, or betrayed by someone close. My prayer as we unpack this story and the truth of God’s Word is that it won’t just challenge you, it will heal you.

Over these past few weeks, there has been such a sweet, tangible presence of God in the house. I believe this Sunday will be no different. It will be both sobering and deeply encouraging.

Don’t miss it.

Also, let’s be praying for our students as they head to Fine Arts this weekend to compete at the district level. We were so proud of them last Wednesday night as they shared their gifts. In the coming weeks, we’ll be featuring some of their performances. I know you’re going to be blessed.

I’m looking forward to seeing you this Sunday.

Believing for Revival,

Pastor

P.S.

Ladies – Don’t forget the Soda Social this Sunday, April 19th, from 5:00-7:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to meet new friends, connect with old friends, and to build community. It’s a free event, but we ask you to take a moment to register to let us know you’re coming.

Men – On Monday night, April 20th at 7 PM, we’re hosting the Florida Assemblies of God District Men’s Tour right here at Grace World. This is for all men, and I’d love for you to join me as we support what God is doing across our district.
