When God Prepares You in the Cave

David’s journey to the throne wasn’t marked by comfort. It was marked by preparation.

One day he was celebrated as a giant slayer and living in the palace. The next, he was running for his life, hiding in caves. What looked like a setback was actually a setup for the leader he was becoming.

David found himself in a place his past had prepared him for. The same wilderness where he once shepherded sheep became the training ground where God shaped a king.

And then something powerful happened.

God began to send him men who were overlooked, hurting, and discouraged. David didn’t just survive the cave…he led in the cave. He became their shepherd, and those broken men became his mighty men.

Here is the principle: what God develops in you during difficult seasons becomes the very thing He uses through you in future seasons.

David wasn’t just waiting in the cave. God was building something in him and building something around him.

This Sunday, we continue our journey through David’s life with a message titled “When You’re in the Cave.” If you’ve ever felt hidden, delayed, or in a season of preparation, I believe this message will strengthen your faith and help you see what God may be building right now.

Also, immediately following the service, we will hold our Annual Business Meeting. This is an important family moment for our church as we celebrate what God did this past year and share vision updates, including progress on the YES Project. All members are encouraged to attend.

I believe God is positioning Grace World for an incredible future, and I’m grateful you are part of the story He is writing here.
