What Are You Known For?

This past weekend, Pastor Donnie did a phenomenal job continuing in the series on, “The Seven Churches”.

Over the last few weeks we’ve learned of churches who substituted labor for love, faced persecution, one sitting in a place of compromise and one that was underneath a spirit of control. This was not said of the church of Sardis. It was not being persecuted, ridiculed by culture or even attacked by the enemy. In fact, nothing was happening because though they had a reputation of being alive, in reality, they were dead. They had become spiritually asleep. The Lord’s correction to them was to wake up, remember and receive what they had heard and repent!

A dead church is not an effective church. I truly believe that the hope of our nation is found within the local church. If we desire to see culture shifted and reformation in our streets, then the church must be alive and advancing the Kingdom!

Solomon said in Provers 22:1, “A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold.”

Grace World, we are known for our reputation. The right reputation. A church that is alive, active and advancing the Kingdom! A church that is Jesus with skin on who reaches out and touches our community. However, our reputation isn’t based on what we do, it is based on the way we show His love.

More than a scripture that we read or a quote hanging on a wall, we are known for the way that we live our lives and what comes out of our hearts that points those around us to Jesus.

At Grace, there are three distinct marks we are known for and they’re found in our message, our mission and our vision.

Our message is Jesus. “Christ is our message! We preach to awaken hearts and bring every person into the full understanding of truth. It has become our inspiration and passion in ministry to labor with a tireless intensity with his power flowing through us, to present to every believer the revelation of being his perfect one in Jesus Christ.” Colossians 1:28, TPT

Our mission is life. We want to see you and your family experience life in all of its fullness. Everything we do is centered around seeing people discover life in all of its fullness from the youngest to the oldest.

Our vision is revival. A church in revival, true revival, revival as Jesus described in John 10:10. He said, “I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect – life it its fullness until you overflow.” We are building an apostolic revival community of believers that brings reformation to the Nature Coast.

What about you? What do you want to be known for?

I look forward to seeing you this Sunday. Don’t forget that our annual business meeting will take place immediately following the service.
