We Believe In The Encounter!
Something special is taking place in our church. I pray you can sense it and feel it. His presence has been so evident in each of our gatherings. The atmosphere is saturated with a hunger for more. We, as a church, are encountering His presence.
Let me take a moment and share with you from a few of our leaders about what God is doing.
Grace Kids is experiencing a new level of God’s presence. Pastor Jacob said, “As a Grace Kids team each week we are blessed to see the IMMEASURABLY MORE already happening. Our Elementary students are encountering God through deep worship and praying/ministering to one another…resulting in first time guests all the way through our long-time Grace Kids being impacted by the power and presence of God.” Wow! Come on, Jesus! We believe that each person, no matter their age, can be used by God. I love hearing how even the youngest are encountering Jesus and praying for each other. May we see these young hearts fervently seek the Lord and challenge us to go deeper in our own relationship with Jesus.
There’s no doubt that God wants us to live a life of freedom and healing. Breaking Free is a ministry we offer here at Grace that is equipping the body to live free and whole lives. Currently there are over 50 people involved. New levels of freedom and healing are being released. Cindy Lewis expressed her excitement to us and said, “Miracles are happening. Walls are coming down. Hearts are unlocking. God is doing a great work!” I love hearing testimonies of God breaking off chains, lives being forever changed and experiencing the full life Jesus promised!
Ascend has also seen a marked difference in their services as well as the level of hunger displayed by the students. Pastor Chris expressed, “We have seen new levels of desperation and hunger in our students lives for the things of Jesus. Just this last Wednesday God moved powerfully after a question was posed, “How many of you feel you need to be perfect to receive ANYTHING from God?” Over 90% of students hands went up around the room. Students & leaders were praying with each other and God moved powerfully at the altar. We believe this is just the beginning of the immeasurably MORE that God will do this year in ASCEND!” Incredible! Lord, let this be the beginning of what the prophet Joel spoke about. Let our sons and daughters prophesy.
My friend, let me encourage you with a statement that A.W. Tozer said, “We have as much of God as we want.” I don’t know about you, but I am hungry for more! One of our expressed values here at Grace is HUNGER. We passionately pursue His presence, living lives of true devotion rather than religious routines.
As we gather this Sunday, let’s do so out of hunger, not out of routine. Collectively, may we encounter God in such a way that those around us see the difference and experience the ripple effects in their own lives and within our community! His presence changes everything!
Immeasurably More,
Pastor Daniel
