Unexpected
Unexpected. That’s the word Chase, our youngest son, has adopted into his vocabulary. As six years olds often do they discover a word, fixate on it, and use it often. The other day, he got up from the couch, looked up with a puzzled look on his face and said, “Well, that was unexpected!” And then ran on to the next thing. I don’t know what he found that was so out of the ordinary or thought was unimaginable, but I love the fact that he’s anticipating and expecting the unexpected!
Our kids surprise us often with the unexpected.
Recently Reijah unexpectedly created a theme park in our house complete with fireworks since we could not take the family on a planned trip.
Caden unexpectedly picked up the phone and called one of our pastors just to encourage them. He said, “I wanted to surprise them!”
Chase chose to share the gospel with every stranger he came in contact with the other day. I love his boldness!
Oh to have the faith of a child!
This past Sunday, we began a new series entitled “Rekindled”. In this season of reset, we are returning to the basics, reclaiming our ancient roots and reconnecting with the four pillars of the early church. Sunday was a pivotal message that is again or right now.
In the message, I challenged you to wake up each day and ask, “God, what are You going to do today?” and to look for the unexpected suddenlys from the Lord. I promise each day is filled with divine possibility if you will simply wait for it!
Monday, we began our 21 day fast. We are asking everyone to participate as you are led. Whether you choose to do a Daniel fast, skip a meal and spend that time in prayer, fast every other day or a few days a week during this time, it is important that we are all together, praying in one accord! Let’s believe for COVID to be broken and the heavens over the Nature Coast to open up!
Each day we are posting a prayer point on the Grace World Facebook page. We have opened the Dome for prayer from 8:00am-4:30pm on Tuesdays. Our intercessors will still gather together from 10:00am-12:00pm and our online call to prayer at 12:00pm is also still taking place on our Facebook page.
This Sunday, we welcome a dear friend of mine, Joel Stockstill. When I first met Joel he was the pastor of the largest youth group in America. From there he became the pastor of the north campus of Bethany World Prayer Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Later, he served on the prophetic presbytery for Gateway Church in Dallas, Texas. Now he is the oversight of the Surge Project which plants thousands of churches every year around the world. Joel is truly a next level thinker. His testimony and how the Lord has used him removes any excuse that we would ever offer for why we can’t do anything for the Lord. This is certainly a Sunday that you will want to take advantage of!
As you know we have multiple ways that you can experience your church:
- Join us live in the Dome at 10am
- Online at www.graceworldag.org
- Live FM transmission of the service at 102.7 available anywhere on our property
Please remember we are following all CDC precautions:
- Maintain physical distance
- Don’t congregate in the foyer
- Practice good hygiene
- Remain at home if you or members of your family are currently (or have in the past few days) experiencing fever or have flulike symptoms
- Wear a face covering when you cannot maintain distance
If we continue to remain community conscious and take personal responsibility, we will protect our church as well as show honor and leadership towards our community.
Jenna and I love you and are praying for you. If there is anything you need please reach out to the church. We are here for you!
Believing for Revival,
Pastor Daniel
P.S. On Sunday I announced the the retirement of Ron Hansen as our Business admin and introduced Mike and Shawn Justice who will be stepping into that role. You can see that official statement here.
