4 Angelic Visitations Of Christmas and their message to mankind

VISIT ONE: HOPE TO THOSE STILL HANGING ON

Luke 1:13–17 (ESV)

13 But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. 14 And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth, 15 for he will be great before the Lord. And he must not drink wine or strong drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb. 16 And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God, 17 and he will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready for the Lord a people prepared.”

Gabriel’s visit to Zechariah encourages those who are hanging onto a faded dream, you’re not hoping in vain!

And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”

The Angel’s visit to the shepherds reminds us that we are all significant to our savior!

Don’t miss the meaning of the final visit

Under those same skies where the Angels sang, a young shepherd boy looked up and sang…

Lord, our Lord,

how majestic is your name in all the earth!

You have set your glory

in the heavens.

Through the praise of children and infants

you have established a stronghold against your enemies,

to silence the foe and the avenger.

When I consider your heavens,

the work of your fingers,

the moon and the stars,

which you have set in place,

what is mankind that you are mindful of them,

human beings that you care for them? u

You have made them a little lower than the angels v

and crowned them with glory and honor.

Ps 8:1–9.

He sees you, He cares for you and even to the “insignificant” he crowns with glory and honor
