No Place Like Grace
Last week was Back to Church Sunday, along with our Back to School Bash for Grace Kids, and we saw more than 930 people on campus. It was certainly one of our biggest Sundays of the year.
But the number I’m most excited about isn’t 930.
We saw first-time salvations, fresh decisions for Christ, and people taking their next steps to get engaged in the life of the church.
This Sunday, we get to celebrate some of those stories on Baptism Sunday. It is one of my favorite services because we get to hear the testimonies of God’s grace at work in the lives of His people.
If you are new to Grace, or new to faith in Christ, I want to encourage you with one simple challenge this fall, make community a consistent habit.
As I shared on Sunday, you will never fully flourish until you are fully planted.
God designed you for community. He created the local church as a place where you can put down roots, grow strong, and thrive.
That is why Grace World exists.
We want to see you discover life in all its fullness, the life Jesus gave His life for you to have. We want that for you, your marriage, your family, and your children.
And there is a next step for you.
For some, that next step is simply coming back this Sunday.
For others, it is finding a place to serve and becoming part of what God is doing through this church.
And if you have not yet taken the next step in The Journey, our Journey Groups kick off in two weeks. I would encourage you to start with Journey One and begin discovering who God created you to be and the life He is calling you to live.
Get planted. Put down roots. And watch what God can grow in your life.
I’ll see you Sunday!
