Let’s Build a House Together
Psalm 127 opens with this reminder: “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.”
Often, we hear this verse quoted in the context of church building projects or growing a ministry. But in its original intent, it wasn’t speaking about a congregation or sanctuary. It was pointing directly to your home.
Before we can lead well in the church, we must first lead well in our homes. The Psalmist is clear. It is not just what we build, but how we build it that determines the strength of our house.
This February, we’re kicking off a brand-new series titled Home Improvement. And yes, while I am a self-confessed fan of the 90’s sitcom (don’t be surprised if Wilson or Tim “The Tool Man” gets a nod), this series is far deeper than nostalgia. Whether you’re single, married, or single again, I know that God has something for you in this series.
To complement this series, we will be hosting a one-day Built to Last Marriage Conference on Saturday, February 28, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This isn’t just for couples. It’s for anyone who wants to strengthen their relationships, fortify their family, and build a home that truly honors God.
I’m filled with expectation for what this month will unlock. I truly believe the strength of the church is found in the strength of our homes. If we want revival in our sanctuaries, we must first welcome it into our living rooms.
So come ready this Sunday (no hammer necessary) but do bring your Bible, a heart ready to receive, and maybe even a good manly grunt as we launch into Home Improvement. Also, this Sunday is Baptism Sunday. If the Lord has been stirring your heart to take that next step of faith, there’s still time to sign up.
Looking forward to celebrating all the Lord has done and is doing!
Believing for Revival,
Pastor Daniel
PS– Breaking Free will begin February 5th. This ministry exists to help people break free from the chains of past bondage so they can pursue God’s plans for their future. If you’re ready for healing, restoration, and deeper freedom, learn more at the Breaking Free Meet and Greet in the Dome Foyer after service on Sunday, February 1, or click here to sign up.
