I’ve Got A Reason

I’ve had the first song from last weekend’s worship set stuck in my head all week. It’s quickly become one of my new favorites. The lyrics say:

I’ll praise in the valley

Praise on the mountain

I’ll praise when I’m sure

Praise when I’m doubting

I’ll praise when outnumbered

Praise when surrounded

’Cause praise is the water

My enemies drown in…

As long as I’m breathing, I’ve got a reason to praise the Lord!

I love the power in those words. No matter where you are or what you’re facing—whether you are on the mountaintop or deep in the valley—you’ve got a reason to praise the Lord.

This Sunday, we’ll gather for the third week of Advent and light the Shepherds’ Candle. The shepherds were the first to hear the news of Jesus’ birth. And they didn’t keep it quiet—they proclaimed it all over the region! That good news gave them a reason to shout and celebrate.

Maybe today, you feel overlooked, discouraged, or counted out. Let me remind you that you’ve got a reason to praise! Jesus is here. Emmanuel—God with us—has come, and He’s everything we need.

Come worship Christ the King with us this Sunday. And don’t forget:

🎄 Our Christmas Celebration is Sunday, December 22, at 10:00 AM.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion is Tuesday, December 24, at 5:00 PM.

Let’s finish this season together, lifting up the name of the One who is worthy of all our praise.

Looking forward to worshiping with you!

Pastor
