Celebrating Our Faithful Fathers

As we approach Sunday, I want to extend a special invitation to each of you for our Father’s Day service. We have a wonderful treat prepared for all our Dads, and in celebration, bring your family to have breakfast at the Grace Cafe and dad will eat free!

Last Sunday, I finished off the message with this nugget of wisdom from the life of David; real men leave a legacy.

Proverbs 13:22 (ESV) tells us, “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous.”

1 Chronicles 22:14-16 tells us that David left an inheritance worth over $240 billion for the construction of the temple. He provided everything his son needed to fully construct a temple for the Lord that would be a blessing for generations to come.

As fathers and spiritual leaders, we have the responsibility to leave behind five critical legacies:

1. Strong Faith: Rooted in a deep and abiding relationship with God.

2. Unconditional Love: Reflecting the love and grace of our Heavenly Father.

3. Enduring Integrity: Consistently living out our values and principles.

4. Personal Responsibility: Demonstrating accountability and reliability.

5. Extreme Generosity: Giving selflessly to others, just as God has given to us.

This is a reminder that the greatest legacy we can leave goes far beyond material things. Our greatest legacy will be the character and faith we instill in our children.

I’m looking forward to celebrating our Dads this Sunday as we continue our series on, “How God Makes Men.”

Believing for Revival,

Pastor Daniel
