Back To Church Sunday

School routines have finally begun to settle back in and the family calendar is beginning to fill up with all the events. Caden started flag football, Reijah has started her college classes, and Chase is now serving in multiple ministries.  Sometimes the fall feels like we started a personal taxi service for the kids.  Thankfully, Starbucks officially released the Pumpkin Spice Latte, and if you’re wondering, yes, Jenna and I have already enjoyed a latte or two along with a Pumpkin Cream Cheese muffin while driving the kids around.

In the middle of all of the things you and your family have going on, I want to encourage you to make room for what matters most: being connected to a healthy church with something for your whole family.

This Sunday, August 30, at 10 AM is Back to Church Sunday!

Whether you’ve been here every week or it’s been a little while, I want to personally invite you and your family to be with us. God never intended us to follow Jesus alone. I truly believe in the power of being plugged into a healthy church community. Church is a place where we grow together, worship together, raise our kids together, and walk through life with people who know us, love us, and encourage us along the way.

Psalm 92:13 says, “Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God” (NKJV).

This weekend, I’ll be sharing a message entitled “Why Church?” to answer a question that many people are asking: Is the church still relevant today? We’ll look at what the Bible says and why being part of a church family matters for the life you’re living right now.

Here’s what I am asking you to do,  invite someone to come with you.

Eight out of ten people are more likely to attend if they are invited. That should encourage us to ask! It can be as simple as sending a text, making a phone call, or saying to them, “Hey, we’re going to church Sunday. We would love for you to come and sit with us!”

You never know what God might do with one simple invitation. This could be the Sunday they encounter Jesus, and their lives are forever changed simply because they were invited.

We have an amazing morning planned for the whole family, including our Grace Kids Back to School Bash with a giant obstacle course, bounce houses, games, and free hot dogs and nachos for the kids during service.

This is a Sunday you don’t want to miss.

Bring a friend. Bring a family. Come expecting.

Jenna and I can’t wait to see you this Sunday!

Blessings to You,

Pastor Daniel
