A Sunday to Remember

This past Sunday we walked alongside three blind men who encountered Jesus—each with a lesson for us:

Proximity is His gift; posture is my choice. Blind Bartimaeus reminds us that Jesus comes near, but it’s up to us to cry out and come close. We are saved and healed by grace through faith.

Religion restricts vision; Jesus restores it. The man born blind shows that Jesus came not for retribution but for restoration. Today is the day of salvation!

Faith grows as it goes. The blind man in Bethsaida teaches that sometimes healing comes in steps. Trust His leading, choose the right atmosphere, be honest about where you are, and don’t go back.

The takeaway? The Gospel is a gospel of healing. Jesus came not only to save us but to heal us. The same faith that saves is the faith to believe He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He still heals. He is calling us to draw near, trust His process, and boldly step into His restoring power.

On Sunday, we anointed and prayed for all who needed His healing touch. Already, testimonies are coming in of physical, emotional, and relational healing. If the Lord touched you, I’d love to hear your story, just reply to this email.

This Sunday we continue our Gospel series with a powerful message on Freedom. I believe many will break free from shame, sin, and sickness this weekend.

We will also honor Mindy and Andy Kerr as they transition from leading our Worship & Creative Arts Department. For the past seven years, they have carried the heart of this house into the presence of the King with excellence and love for Jesus and His people. After much prayer, they have discerned that this season of leadership has come to a close. We fully affirm that the Lord is in this transition and honor their humility and courage in following His leading.

This Sunday, August 17, we will bless and celebrate the Kerrs during service, followed by a reception. Let’s come prepared to sow generously into their next season through a love offering, personal cards, gift cards, and words of encouragement. And let’s cover them in prayer, thanking God for their impact and believing for His best ahead.

I can’t wait to see you this Sunday. Come ready to worship, celebrate, and encounter Jesus, who is Good News!

For His Glory,

Pastor Daniel
