A Force to Be Reckoned With 

This past Sunday, Johnny Jernigan declared something over Grace World that resonated with us:

“I’m turning on the switch to the voice of this house!”

This word echoed everything the Lord has been saying to us this summer. From the Student Take Over service about hearing the sound, to Chris Estrada saying this was a church of generational fire that’s moving from water to oil, and Joe Oden’s emphasis on prayer and the sound being released. What a summer it has been! 

Yes, there is a sound being released. And you are part of it. God is positioning this house; it’s up to each one of us to posture our hearts. 

This is about a collective voice. Like a fist pulling together with purpose, we are becoming a force to be reckoned with. A sound that punches into the darkness. 

My friends, don’t let Summer Fire just be a powerful series. Steward it. Contend for more. Keep releasing the sound.

This weekend, we begin a timely new series called This Is Good News. I will answer the question, “what is so good about the Gospel?” This Sunday, we will dive into the topic of the hope of the Gospel. 

Also, we will celebrate around 20 people who are choosing to take the next step in their walk with Jesus by being baptized. There’s never been a better time to invite someone to church. Get there early and let’s celebrate together!
